Honestly most of the problem exists in the fact that most of Humanity believes that God in any form needs to fit their needs of their life. Something like a "Celestial Waiter" calling upon him to serve their needs and to be quickly dismissed. The Truth is since God has ALWAYS been Righteous, and Holy, we need to fit our lives into his requirements. We need to live up to his requirements, ahhhh but alas sin makes this impossible, and hence the need for the ransom sacrifice of Christ. Many have arisen from within the Cogregation" to mislead those within the congregation. So the "Church" evolved within the Congregation there were those who listened to Holy Spirit, and were guided closer to the truth, and directed away from the corruptions of false worship. Jehovah God has always been refining his people as a silversmith. Directing "his possession" away from impurity. Until as the silversmith knows when the silver is pure, he can see his reflection in the silver, it is the same with his people he kept refining until he could see himself reflected in his people. That is not to say that Jehovah's Witnesses are perfect (far from it) but we are following Godly direction through Christ well enough that the Ransom Sacrifice can take up the slack. This is why Jehovah's Witnesses do not take up arms against a fellow human, and do not participate in human political schemes, or salute flags, or bow before idle idols, or smoke, and many other things, we are taking direction from Jehovah God, through his Christ to be ever refined towards salvation from this wicked system of things, and Satans snares. To get some REAL information about who Jehovah's Witnesses are, and what they believe go to www.watchtower.org, and request the book "What Does the Bible REALLY Teach?"

thats a hard one since there is a side to jesus t hat is often ignored. the man had a temper and litttle tolerince for what he felt was wrong ( demonstrated when the money changers at the temple) also in jesus's time slavery was a diffrent thing in the jewish world. a jew could own a slave but the slave had laws that protected him/her. and they could only be owned for seven years after that they had to be offered there freedom if they wanted it they could leave. so jesus's opinion of slavery would be diffrent then ours. as for inquistions and war, didnt jesus say he had not come to bring peace but to set brother against brother and father against son? as for banning bibles jesus seemed to respect knowledge, and learning and anything that represses that would in my opinion seem wrong

He said what kind of 'church' he wanted to lead. And I am not getting what you said as being one of them. So . . . no.
If a Christian church had to match up to all those things, I would say that the Roman Catholic Church was it exactly, not that they are doing that now!
And I am not one of those.

The same guy that said "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me"?
I really don't see why he would mind.

He said:
"By this shall all men know you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
Why would you follow those who do such things?
