Oftentimes this is because they aren't getting a certain type of nutrient that they need. I would take him to the vet to make sure nothing else is wrong and make sure you know what kind of dog food you feed him.

My boston terrier did the same thing when she was a very little puppy. We don't know why but i wouldnt worry about it too much. Just he may puke it up cuz ours always did and it was nasty!

smaller dogs seem to do that alot. we give ours deter tablets that we get at petsmart. it seems to work, no more potty mouths in this house!
