I graduate college in two years. I would love to enlist as an Intelligence officer in the Marine Corps. I understand that while in Boot Camp I will not have a social life, I can accept that.

But when I get out, and I move into my MOS as an officer, do I get a chance to go out on weeekends while on Active Duty? I know that if I was shipped overseas or into a conflict that I would not have a chance to, which is fine. However, how often could I expect to go out in a week or a month while in the US on Active Duty?

Once you join the Corps, The Corps is your life, You, breath, sleep, eat, shyt Corps!
They will tell you when to socialize, who to socialize with,etc...
and when the time is right, when the Corps deems you worthy, They will issue you a wife and kids to follow! Got that?
Hoorah!

Unless your base is locked down, you can leave it any time you are not on duty. And live your own life as long as it is not contrary to Corp guidelines.
