My 5 month old austrailian sheperd newfoundland pup has recently develope a rash on her hind end and leg. In size both are about the size of a softball, the one on the leg slightly smaller. In apperence they are a green/brown, puss, with scapes on the outside. When we touch them it feels mushy but hard at the same time. At first we thought it was a wound from our other dog[they like to play fight], but now it has started to smell like burnt flesh. If anyone knows what this is and/or a treatment for it, it would be great to let me know. Thanks for your time

I would check with your vet it doesn't sound like anything you should treat without a vet... Hope everything works out OK... You can call your local vet maybe they can tell you what it is and if there is anything you can do without the need of bringing him in... If your worried about costs if you have a local human society they usually treat animals cheap... If not call a vet and just let them know you love and want your dog treated but money is a issue and if they are a good vet they will help you....

Don't know what it is but sound REALLY BAD! Any time a animal has a wound with puss and odor...... should be taken to the VET asap.
Same goes for humans...
Dogs and humans can lose their limbs or lives with these type of wounds.(Infections)

I would recommend that you take her to the vet asap. Sounds like an infection of some kind and she will need antibotics

Go to your vet immeadiatly...this could be a very bad infection under the skin.

It could also be another skin condition, but i suggest you go to the vet ASAP!

hope it all turns out ok
