They are called energy vampires & they aren't actually vampires (meaning as in the ones who suck blood), they are people who just suck off energy from people around them. Usually they have no clue at all what they are doing.

If vampires ever had existed they would have been hunted into extinction by now, the only case I could think of where their would be humans able to get sustenance from blood would be around the time humans evolved to eat meat at which point it would theoretically possible for a genetic offshoot to have formed that got sustenance from blood, but that is just a crazy theory I came up with, and like I said if for the sake of argument they ever had existed they are no doubt extinct.

Hi!
The fictional Vampire is a metaphor for lots of things. Though many know Bram Stoker based Dracula on Vlad the Impaler, there are some who think that Stoker was describing the sort of padophile ring that preys on children (or pimp / tafficking gang that subjugates and sexually exploits women) and is typified by a leader so powerful that no-one would believe he could possibly be involved in anything shady - hence he made Dracula a count.
These key figures often do, in real life situations, have procurers, subordinates in their power who go out and find vulnerable victims to bring to their masters.
Stokers descriptions of the corrupting influence of contact with a vampire, increasingly having more hold on you and changing you into one of its own kind the more it abuses your body, again typifies the grooming process of child abuse.
Had he come across a phenomena his generation was in denial about, so transcribed it into fiction for later generations to gain insights into so that they could fight it and break the chain for future generations?
Like many legends, there are some factual elements. You may like to put "Vampire Bat" into a search engine and find out about this South American species that is known to prey on cattle by drinking their blood at night - and is not averse to sampling the life fluids of other mammals.
There are many parasites in nature. Leeches are a classic example of the blood sucking type. Most parasites would be foolish to harm their prey to the extent of killing them, as that would deprive them of a host. Still, this is not a symbiotic relationship - but a one way abusive street.
Like all myths that seep into the collective human psyche, that of the vampire occasionally so takes hold of a frail mind that the person believe's themselves a vampire. In extreme cases, some become serial killers and there are a number of documented cases of such people fully acting out the myth on vulnerable victims. There are even instances of the victims willingly offering themselves to be abused, and a recent famous case of someone willingly giving themselves as a meal for a canibalistic killer.
Your friend may believe herself a vampire - but if you collude with that delusion you could make yourself and your loved ones vulnerable in her company. We give credibility, even power to what we fear. We feed what we are superstitious about. Tread lightly with this.
Be safe.
Good wishes.

So-called psychic vampire or psy vamps are actually just people with disorders such as borderline personality, or
narcissistic personality, or anti-social personality, often called
psycopaths or sociopaths.
The only way in which they take energy from others is by
emotionally wearing them out, making them tired, depressed, or anxious.
I have a friend who has narcissistic personality disorder, and he requires so much attention and constant over-interaction
with people that if you spend time with him on a daily basis, you get swept up in his delusions and drama and you get very tired emotionally. So , no, it has nothing to do with vampires.

Didn't your parents teach how to tell the difference between a made-up story and a real one?
This is fake. There are no such things as blood/life sucking vampires. There is no such thing as vampires.
