Well, I don't think Jesus is a God. I think he is the son of God and will be a king at some point in the future.

YHWH or Yahweh is the Hebrew name for God.

You people are missing my point.

*sigh*

Not everyone missed my point - Kayne - you didn't.

Aside from Jesus they technically believe in the same God. They call him Allah but he is supposed to be the same God of Abraham etc.

They don't recognize Jesus as his son but they recognize the same God/creator.

Yes, its what I believe. Only thing is Christians will tell you Allah is fake and Muslims will tell you YHWH is fake.

I like the two side of the same coin answer, good way to describe it.

I see all humans as kin, with different views of God(s), or lack thereof.

As an Antioch Orthodox Christian of half-Palestinain descent , it's my understanding that God(whether YHWH of the O-T, Father-God of the N.T. and Allah(arabic for God) are one in the same.

We Christians(whatever tradition, sect, denomination) believe in the Trinity (Father/Son/Holy Spirit). Judaism and Islam are strictly monotheistic so of course reject the Holy Trinity. Islam does acknowledge and revere Jesus as one of their Prophets and His mother Mary is esteemed with some fascinating verses about both in the Quran.

Jews did not accept Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah - save for a few of them. More Samaritans(many Palestinians are descendants of them) accepted Jesus and followed Him.

I've read of some Christians -ex.: some English Anglican theologians - have openly questioned if the Old Testament(Tanuch) God is the same God of the New Testament , because the actions and personalities are so different. The former being a vengeful God of bloodlust and ethnocentrism, while the latter being a God to all ("there are no Jews or Gentiles in Christ Jesus"). I think every Christian will have to reconcile the differences themselves. Personally, I'm still working on that one.

Because the three religions stem from Abraham- yes to your answer. Christians, Muslims and Jews are kin - in that regard, because of Abraham and the acknowledgment of our one God.

No, they don't believe Jesus is the Son of God. They think He was just a prophet and that He was never crucified. And if Jesus wasn't the Son of God and was never crucified then there would be no Christianity and we all may as well give up and become pagans. Sorry if I missed your point.

Allah is not the God of the bible. Allah is not the father of the Lord Jesus Christ. The only connection between Arabs and Jews is that Abraham was the father of both Isaac and Ishmael but the Muslims who follow Muhammed follow a different God who does not claim to have the attributes of the biblical and one true God, YHWH. Muhammed came into the picture 750 years after Jesus Christ.

Christians worship YHWH or Jehovah God. Jesus Christ is God incarnate. Second person in the Trinity.

Allah and the Christian God are not the same.

Islam teaches Allah is apart from creation and we CANNOT know Allah. Muslims don't understand how Christians can have a personal relationship with their God.

God of the Bible wants us to be in a relationship with Him. Jesus says we are to call God our Heavenly Father.

Both views cannot be correct 1 is wrong and 1 is true, they are mutually exclusive ideas.

They're both evolutions of the Abrahamic beliefs.
Judaism is Abraham 1.0
Christianity is Abraham 2.0
Islam is Abraham 3.0
There are many variations on each.

Is the God of Judaism, Christianity and Islam the same God?
The Jewish and Christian God are the same. Islam has a man-made god which is false. Jewish and Islam believers, if they were to die today, would not go to heaven.

How do the Jews and Christians have the same God? Good question, the Christians believe God came to earth as a man named Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus was the perfect sacrifice without sin. Jesus shed His blood for us. Without blood there is no forgiveness of sins. The Jewish belief has animal sacrifices to cover their sins and do not acknowledge Jesus as the Savior. Once Jesus died on the cross for us, He did not allow blood from animal sacrifices to cover sins anymore.

As for Muslims, they believe Jesus was a prophet and not God. They believe that good works has to outweigh the bad works, which is a works based religion. Christians believe salvation is a gift of God. (Once we are saved though, we will have evidence of it with good works, but our works do not save us.)

If you are not following Jesus you are following a thief. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

The devil is this thief that comes up with false teachers and religions. False teachers and religions only come to steal, kill, and destroy. So this makes the devil a liar. We have already learned that Jesus is the truth. Do you want to follow a liar or the way, the truth, and the life?

You sound very ignorant of the basic teachings and origins of the two religious faiths...

Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ....that is hypocrisy.

They reject Christ's diety;
they deny his claim to be the Son of God;
they deny his death on the cross...
they deny His resurrection..
They deny Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
In fact, the Quran says : "Allah has no son".
Need I say more...?

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ.

The Bible calls Muhammed and those like him false prophets:
"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)
