I don't really believe in death in the first place. We are divine immortal spirits who choose to inhabit the form we call human so that we may experience the physical state. When a body no longer serves us, or becomes broken, or when we simply tire of physicality we will move on to the next thing, whatever that may be. But whatever happens to our bodies, we do not share that fate.

I believe after death we will go to heaven or hell. We will be judged by God's law. Of course God will be the one judging us. God's law is the Ten Commandments. Lets go through a couple of the Ten Commandments. Have you ever told a lie? If you have told a lie then you would be called a liar. Have you every stolen anything even if it was something small? If you have stolen something then you would be called a thief. Have you ever hated someone? Jesus said," When we hate people, in our hearts it is just like murdering them. If you have hated someone the bible calls you a murderer. This is just three of the commandments. Everyone has broken the commands of God. Even if you break only one commandment you are guilty of breaking them all. If this is the standard that God will judge us, we would be guilty. God cannot let liars, thieves, and murderers in heaven. If he did then God would not be a good and just judge. I believe if you are guilty of the law you will go to hell. I believe if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, rose from the grave, ascended to heaven, is Lord and God, and you repent and turn from your wicked ways. These are the people that will have the blood of Jesus cover their sins and they will be able to go to heaven. Whether you go to heaven or hell I believe you will be there forever.

We descend off into space as a simple bodiless consciousness forever roaming the vast universe for all eternity gaining infinite knowledge and experiencing new worlds and creatures. The universe is so vast with so much to discover, that it will consume an eternity to discover all of it. I have believed this since I was a child, and I believe it every bit as much now as I did then. I've always believed the universe is enormus for a reason, to give our souls a never ending platform from which to expand your knowledge of all things. You can travel from start to star, planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy, and most important, you can spy on other alien peoples and learn from all of them, each individual, you would never ever run out of something to learn.

Yes.

Most human beings believe in life after death.

Catholics put it this way in the Nicene Creed (from the year 325): "We look for ... the life of the world to come."

For amore information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 1020 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art12.htm

With love in Christ.
