WOW,now I am being accused of changing my I.D.This is something that I have not done nor will I ever do.I am not ashamed of anything I have to say. I do not take offense to questions directed towards the corrupt, simply because I am not corrupt.
What does that say about those of you who have chosen to take offense?
Are you the corrupt?Your attitude obviously has led some to believe that you are.If you would like proof of threats made to me you need to look through the answers of other questions.
If the people claiming to be cops are not then that only goes to show the mentality of those who are aspiring to become a cop, although after looking at their profiles which they had up long before I became privy to the Answers forum I would tend to believe that yes, they are cops.
If the police who are responding to my questions do not "like" my questions you have right to not answer.
Most of the cops who answer the questions are too easy it's like picking on a 2 yr old & now u bore me.

Because they have a good ol' boy mentality and they are part of a brotherhood. If you dare to criticize them, they automatically assume you've committed a criminal act or they attack you by calling you a criminal because they get defensive when anyone criticizes them.
There are probably lots of good cops but they all stick together even when a bad cop does something wrong. If the good cops would speak up about cops who do wrong then maybe they might get more respect. But they won't, because they are a brotherhood.

Got me. Why the need to change your ID? It was Linda the last time wasn't it?
Maybe you're dealing with some people that have the mindset opposite of the anti-Police trolls like the first three that answered your question?
I personally don't give a damn what you think of Police Officers, but if all you are going to do is ask questions and make statements that assume most, if not all Police Officers are corrupt, then can I assume that you and all your friends are scumbags that frequently get arrested?
Most of us that are here and openly state we are Police Officers are here to give direct answers to questions that people have about Law Enforcement. Not everyone understands the how and why of things we have to deal with. If all you are going to do is fish for a fight, post anti-Police propaganda in the form of a question, then you'd better get ready to put up with some that don't give a damn. And I don't blame them one bit. Yes, there are bad Police Officers, just like there are bad Lawyers, Politicians(which are often one in the same!) Doctors and just about anyone else in a profession.
But what makes us different that contrary to common perception, we don't tolerate or have anything to do with those that give us a bad name. In my area, a bi-racial man(Frank Jude) was beaten by numerous off-duty Officers at a party. Those that tried to cover for them are now unemployed, those on trial are not getting any support in any way from other Officers because crap like that makes my dealing with some people that much harder.
May I suggest you seek out stories of Police Officers that have done positive things, you'll be suprised. The simple things we do or the many lives we have saved just by doing our job many times over will make your "Copwatch" pale in comparison.

What do you expect when you are criticizing their work? I'd like to read the threats, it'd be interesting to see that you get under their skin.
edit: I've just glanced at your site, and you've got some offensive stuff there, like when you blame the NYPD for the death of firefighters on 9-11.

Show the proof!!!! I've seen a lot of your questions and they ar all about how bad cops are. Did one knock up your momma and that's how you got here? Did you do something criminal and get arrested and can't dare to take the truth that you are to blame? It's obvious you don't actually know any police officers, otherwise you would have a little respect and understanding. By putting ONLY HONEST POLICE NEED REPLY, but always claiming all police are corrupt and evil, you would think you'd never get any answers. Quit yer freakin' whining and get a real job. Stand up for something like a man and actually do something useful. Otherwise, quit wasting my time with all your vapid, stupid questions.

You should realize just because someone claims to be an officer on Yahoo Answers, that does not necessarily mean they actually are. My guess is the treats, if that is what they are, are not coming from actual cops. As for the accusations of criminal activity, your questions probably sound exactly like what the criminals they arrested last night said.

Quite possibly for one reason. Being a police officer for the most part, only allows us to meet people when they're at their worst. Even when someone is a victim rather than a criminal; say they were robbed. They're not going to be very polite and happy are they. After years on the job, it's very easy for a police officer to become cynical and only see the worst in people. So, even if you're just curious about an illegal activity, it's possible that cops could feel suspicious towards you.

It maybe because you generalize that ALL police are bad and not ALL of us are bad. I never said you are a criminal. We get tired of being bashed on this site but when it comes down to it some one breaks in to their home and we are the first people they call for help.

Probably because you appear to go against them and to not like cops. They already get enough of it on their jobs, so they probably don't feel like being especially nice to someone who posts like that on public forums. Your name is "copwatch.com," so obviously you're into slamming cops for what they supposedly did wrongly, and they also get enough of that without looking on YA! ...You probably didn't get "threatened" or "accused," but I wouldn't be surprised if you were called an idiot, because I've read some of your questions and they're completely biased and directed at cops in general...

From the tone of your question, you approach law enforcement with a confrontational attitude. Here's a news flash! In 99% of all encounters with police officers, you will be treated the same way you treat them.

since you lurk behind a privacy shield i have no idea what sort of questions you have posted. what are you hiding from? why not come out into the light? if you don't want to play with us why are you here? seriously, you give no information to base any sort of conclusion on. might be your questions do border on criminal conduct. or maybe you are all about truth, but who can say. i must say that 90% of those that lurk behind privacy shields are point gamers, trolls, or other deviant personalities. but hey, good luck with that.
