The first thing you need to know is IGNORE the polygraph. The PRIMARY purpose of the machine is to MAKE you nervous. If the person administering the test is any good, they will ignore the machine and watch YOU for signs of deception. Like ANY interrogation, this is a MIND GAME. It is not even theoretically possible for ANY machine to detect the truth of your answers. At best, they detect deliberate lies. A polygraph ONLY detects nervousness.

Truthful people can occasionally fail a polygraph test. It is not a perfect science. However, you are better off just telling the truth and hoping for the best then to do anything to "beat" the machine.

If you are honest you will probably be alright. Just keep that in mind, tell the operator or investigator everything and you it will be smooth sailing.

A police officer once told me the way to pass a polygraph is to believe everything that comes out of your mouth is 100% true. Seriously..of course he was a crooked cop but he passed.

Believe and it will become the truth.

Polygraphs are more and more being seen as unreliable. They sense the changes in heartbeat and sweat. Even if you tell the truth, if you're feeling nervous, it'll show up. The best idea is to tell the polygraph administrator that you ARE nervous before you begin. Also, keep in mind, that they're going to lie to you. They'll say that it can sense if you're lying. that's not true, it senses body changes. So, no matter what they tell you, just keep in mind that it's not an omnitient machine.

The most novel and easiest way to pass ...... is to TELL THE TRUTH! The polygraph is only as good as the interrogator administering the test. If you are nervous the person giving the test will adjust it to your system with the preliminary set up questions which will set a normal reference.

You pass a polygraph test by telling the truth.

Just relax in the exam. It picks up on changes in blood preesure and breathing. Just relax and tell the truth that's all.

I think it's pretty much just don't be nervous. I'd recommend NOT drinking coffee or having caffeine before the test, because that could throw everything off...

Relax and be honest. I know relaxing probably isn't all that easy in one of those tests. Sounds like it would be a job that would require you to handle stress very, very well. If you don't think you can relax enough to take the test, you should probably find another job.
