January 31st, 1986. I get a Parker Bros. Ouija board. My friends and I play with it at my slumber party, and it's a total washout. No movement, nothing. We finally decide to play a game where someone moves it and makes a silly message and the rest of us guess who wrote the message. We use it a couple of times after that, and still nothing. Get bored with it, corner breaks off and we lose the planchette. The Ouija board is still in the back of the closet and just as harmless as it ever was.

I'm sorry, Jo, but I just don't believe you're telling me the truth. They don't work, period. And I know because I tried.

One time a friend and I attached a magnet to a dow rod and another friend held it under a Ouija board. Most of the lights were out and we were able to make a friend think it actually worked. She was really freaked.

The thumbs down come from true believers. Whether they believe in an incredibly petty version of God, in Atheism or in the realm of the spirit.
As a semi-retired professional tarot reader myself, I have to fall back on the standard line of us underendowed types, "It aint the wand."
If you have the Sight, or someone has a message for you, it'll get through with any tool or none. If you don't, don't worry about it, you're better off.

Sad but true, a Christian I knew years ago, backslid, got involved with ouija board and hung himself.
Not only Christians but everyone needs to stay away from them.

Because some people think that a silly piece of cardboard and plastic harbors the doorway to demons and think anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. It's simply amazing the power people give objects.

Because people are easily offended, apparently Ouija board users do not take kindly to such offense.

I don't know I get thumbs down for everything. I told someone to disprove god when they told me to prove god and got 3 thumbs down.
U.P.- don't be stupid, most Christians know thats a crappy toy.
LOOK THUMBS DOWN! (and it was before I said that to U.P.)
I think some atheist hate that we believe in God. Why do they try to disprove it? It shouldn't matter cause they don't believe in anything (some on Y!A don't believe in morals or respect to other religions either obviously, maybe they don't understand the freedom to practice religion?)
