what do you reckon,, i dont like gravy of any sort

Me too! hate gravy... I go naked! Although at a push it would be tomato sauce!

Depend on the Roast - I don`t particularly use any of the sauces you quote with a Roast dinner they`re so uncouth LOL.
Beef - Horse Radish Sauce
Pork - Apple Sauce
Chicken/Turkey - Cranberry Sauce
Lamb - Mint Sauce.
Besides I really HATE Salad Cream with a passion and always use Mayo instead.

Have some vegetables(carrots/celery) braised in bouillon, then when you serve the veg, use the liquid as a 'gravy'.Brown sauce, tomato sauce, and especially salad cream are utterly gross with a roast dinner. Shame on you!

I love gravy and the thought of any sauce originally made me cringe, however after much thought I'd go for brown sauce on the meat. If you don't like gravy what about a nice cheese sauce, or onion sauce, mmmm they sound so much nicer.

out of the three choices i would go for tomato sauce but wouldn't know as always have gravy or cheese sauce salad cream would ruin a good roast!

Not too long ago finished roast chicken with --------- wait for it "Gravy" delicious and beats salad cream,brown sauce and tomato sauce or a combination of all three.

None, Have it with Pepper brandy sauce or mustard horseradish, both very tasty

If it's roast lamb it has to be tomato mixed with your mint sauce - delicious! But if its beef I think brown sauce goes better with it.
