In spanish you do not say esta es mi amiga -- if you are introducing her by the first time. It is more polite and correct say Ella es mia amiga Anh (Anh female name) .
saying esta es mi amiga is not correct, but less impolite.

if u wanna be polite don't say "este or ese" in Spanish those words refer to a thing or an animal.. u should say: for woman:"Ella es mi amiga Anh", for man "El es mi amigo Anh", but it really depends of the situation..

You could say: Este es mi amigo(a) Anh,
but if you are introducing him(her) it's more polite to say
Aquí tiene Vd. mi amigo(a) Anh.
or Aquí le presento mi amigo(a) Anh.
