No and if the turn signals work and the brake lights dont you possibly have a bad turn signal switch as long as they use the same bulb which if I remember they do

i have a 2000 taurus and this happened to me it was the brake pedal switch it is under the brake pedal i had to have it replaced like 3 times luckily it wasnt that expensive sometimes they woulnt work others they stayed on all the time and ran my battery down i almost got rear ended once because of no brake lights thats what was wrong with mine maybe ur is as simple or it could just be a fuse

Check your fuses you could have blown one. the brakes needing replaced should not affect the lights. check to see if the regular running rear lights work when you turn on your car lights if not your bulbs need to be replaced.

extra effective than in all probability it particularly is the bulb as David stated. hind lights with one bulb have 2 filaments that eliminate darkness from on distinctive circuits. One for working lights furnishings, one for brake lights furnishings. My wager may be that the filament for the brake gentle circuit is burned out. so a strategies as automobiles no longer having electric powered problems? I want!!!

no ,it's probably the brake light switch...look at the brake lever and up there is a switch.check to see if the wiring is off ,and not check the position of it,and see if the brake lever is working the switch...and check for power at the wiring going to the switch...and then check for blown fuse..... or do this first............

idk. with these newer models it could even be a sensor bad or it could very well be a built in deterent for people to not run with bad brakes. it might even be that you have a loose wire or a bad place in the wiring that is grounding out on whatever metal its touching. i miss working on the older cars. if something went wrong you knew it could only be one thing or the other not 20. good luck
