Take the assigned title that the seller gave you along with the bill of sale, proof of ID, proof of insurance and your checkbook to the DMV.

Aquire the title from your seller, along with a bill of sale and odometer disclosure. Depending on what state your in, a smog certificate as well, and proof of insurance. Take it all to DMV and start the transfer, if fees are due, they will be collected at this time.
