In most states, employers legally cannot hire you at your age, so you need to look at starting your own business. Think of something you can do that others might pay you for. My 12 year old nephew, for example, has a really good grasp of technology, which some older people find difficult. He could set an hourly rate and offer to help people use their computers, set up their DVD players, etc. Or maybe you are good at gardening or cleaning things or something like that. The big advantage that younger people have is that they have a lot of energy, and can do things that older people might find too tiring. You do need to remember, however, that you need to be professional about this. If you promise to do something, you have to do it when you say you will, or word will get around and no one will hire you.

I think the easiest answer at the moment is to ask your parents if you can augment your pocket money by doing extra tasks around the house , e.g cut the grass , do dishes , wash car etc .
I don't think you can take on even a paper round before you are 13 .
As for Saturday job start asking now any local small businesses if the will be looking for a Saturday boy at any time in the future and if so could they please keep you in mind .
The main issues you will find at your young age is that employers have legal issues on their employees liability insurance for someone so your
I commend your enthusiasm , good luck

I remember when i was 12 i had a job as a caddie it pays well and it helps to teach you the game of golf while keeping you fit. It might seem like a boys job but female caddies usually get paid more since they get the easier loops. I remember getting paid about 10 dollars an hour just after 3 weeks of training and working. Just open your phone book and look up the private golf courses in your area. Call them and ask if they are hiring caddies or not if they are sign up for the training. There is caddie no pressure at all at most clubs you can decide when you want to caddie and just randomly show up or you can sign up for tournaments. another good hting is that you get paid under the table and you do not need to get a workers permit., good luck

This is the UK board so i assume you are in the UK. You are too young to legally work anywhere in this country- sorry. You could try asking relatives if there are little jobs you could do for them that earns you a bit of a money- thats what my kids used to do. You could wash cars for people or walk their dogs etc. Its a bit frustrating i know but the time soon goes round and you will soon be old enough to work properly and buy all those little treats.

just a paper round when your 13, you can get a proper saturday job from the age of 16 I think.
The times when we sent children down the pits or up the chimnies are long gone, you could always offer to do odd jobs for your parents like doing the garden, washing the car, grooming the dog anything like that and maybe other relations if they live close enough as well.

You are too young I'm afraid, the legal age for any child to work is 16, however you may be able to get a small job like a paper round but even then i think you need to be 13, try enquiring at your local newsagents.

Most places won't hire you until you are at least 15 (I'm thinking places like McDonalds etc), plus, most places like you to have your own way of getting to work. What I would suggest is looking into babysitting in your neighborhood, or maybe walking dogs, and doing various jobs for people in your neighborhood. Try posting fliers and see what happens!
You can also try your local golf course and see if you can get a job caddying on the weekends. They will often hire younger people.
Good luck!

babysitter!! thats my job. it pays good money, and the better you do, the more business you get!!! :) b/c ppl will rehire you and tell others about ur services. it can pay very nicely. start out w/ $5/hour-for 1 child. you can become a babysitter once you are 11. (thats for Virginia)
i suggest you take a class @ a community center (thats where i took 1). it tells you about how 2 take care of babies, CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, your rights as a babysitter (and other stuff 2). lots of stuff that will help you when u get a job.

You can legally work on a farm, or sell door-to-door ( I did it at 12 but I wouldn't recommend it these days). I think you can also do food prep.
At 12, you cannot legally handle money or be left alone with children. In my area, paper routes are taken by adults who can drive and therefore take larger routes. Kids rarely do it anymore.
