is there such a gadget/headphone that plays silence or cancels out all the noises?

i really want something like that when i am studying because i have a loud, noisy family and i can't study. please tell me there's something like that ! where can i buy something like that?

See such a thing, Bose I believe, in TV commercials almost all the time. It has noise canceling technology. It might help?

Bose might work but they are pricey.
you might want to try earplugs or ear protectors available at you hardware store first. About 1/100th or 1/10th the cost.
