In actuallity the prices are cheap considering the market
I've had the work appraise for more ,but I'm trying to make things more accessible.
I'm pretty well known on the coast though, but I'm not sure what my nationwide or even global market entails. Either way, even if I was totally unknown the prices are reasonable.

I am sorry if you think they're pricy. This i just how things are priced and you should consider that a pretty substantial portion is going to help with a Isiah's surgery.

25% of proceeds is not that generous, in my opinion. I am not convinced that your motives are all that pure. If they were, you would donate the paintings outright. Or donate fewer of them, but don't take any money yourself.

The usual thing when artists want to help a cause is to donate a piece which can be raffled off, so that the raffle tickets are partly to help the kid, and partly because people actually want to own the piece. In any case, that's what quilters do.

One thing you can do, is write Dear Editor Letters, in the
newspapers, in your State, and there probably would be
a lot of people donate a few dollars anyway, or you can
offer the Chance to Win, an item, you could name in the
article.
And state what the Chance Item is, and the purpose, for
the fundraising.
I bought a bicycle, one time, and offered it up, ''still in the
box'', so it could be easily shipped, and it brought quite a
bit of money,
Then when it is over, you can then write another letter to
those same papers, thanking everyone for the part they
played, in helping that person.
You could do a piece or two of your Artwork this way too.
Spread the Request...Spread the Love, so other people
can join in it too.
Let me know and I will help what I can...Sincerely, Too Funny

Art does cost a lot. I wish I had the money to buy a painting. Are you allowed to put a link to donate money directly so people could do that?

Sure but you should adjust your prices, or auction off your paintings. Your art is nice but its too pricey coming from someone that is relatively unknown.
