Most of my friends don't wear helmets while riding a bike. I'm not sure if I should go with the flow or just be myself and wear a helmet, just to be on the safe-side. So do you think helmets are uncool?

Helmets are definitely uncool but it's even less cool not to wear them. How cool will you look with your head split open or how cool would you be as a vegetable in a hospital the rest of your life. It's a no brainer to wear a helmet and those that don't wear helmets defiantly have no brains.
Show your friends not all blondes are dumb.

no it is not uncool to be concerned about your safety. I ride & if the weather is nice I do not wear a helmet but if it is cold or raining I will wear a helmet. That is a choice you would have to make your self & who cares what other people say about it. It is you life & your right to protect it. You can not predict the way other people drive. I was in a wreck on my bike when it was raining because someone pulled out in front of me & I was lucky I was wearing a helmet.

Who cares if you want to wear a helmet then wear one. Helmets weren't made to look cool or uncool they were built to help protect your head incase of an accident. I know one person that was saved because of a helmet.

No doubt about it: What is "uncool" is not wearing a helmet. What is cool is to be smart - and those who has intelligence enough will always wear a helmet - for protection of themselves.

It's cool to wear a helmet... Like Carlos Mencia says, "For those who don't wear a helmet and get into an accident. I'll be waiting for them in the hospital saying, 'how do you feel now stupid?' I wear a helmet because I know that the concrete is harder then my face."

Ask yourself this, which is more cool.....not wearing a helmet, or sustaining permanent brain damage (or possibly death) if you fall off and hit your head?
I know someone who didn't wear a helmet and fell off his bike. He landed on his head and passed out. He was one of the lucky ones....he didn't die. He did, however, sustain brain damage. His entire personality changed from that day forward. He went from a fun loving, friendly, full of life person, to a somber, dark, brooding, mean spirited person.

whats uncool is if you have an accident you crack your head open and die!! just because your friends don't were one or think it is cool is stupid wear a helmet and be safe. you only have one life to live.

HECK NO! Untill you go clean up brain matter off of a sidewalk from a kid thinking it was too cool to wear a helet, you do not know how badly a helmet can save your life! Just get a cool helet!

safety precaution should be exercised, you don't want to smatter your brains all over the pavement, do you?! THAT would be "uncool"!Riders of all ages and levels wear helmets and/or other safety gear. If all your "friends" smoked pot or got drunk all the time, would you do that to, for the sake of fitting in?
