How can I stop neighborhood cat from soiling in our yard?

This is happening on the side and front of our house, dogs are kept in fenced area. Are there products that anyone has used and actually worked to keep them away?

There are many products available in both pet shops and lawn and garden centers that will deter unwanted animals and keep them from your flower beds etc. Some of these are pellet form and some are liquid. All need to be reapplied fairly often, but most likely, once you have broken this cats cycle of soiling in your yard, he will move on. There are also some natural options. Cats do not like cayenne pepper or ginger either and these powders may be sprinkled around too, but I don't think they last as long as some of the manufactured products. There is also the option of a sensor sprayer, I have seen these used for raccoons and such. When the animal crosses the sensor, a unit sprays water. I would start with a reputable lawn and garden center first. This will probably have the most experienced staff and most economical product. Good Luck.

You'd need to make sure it is a cat, because raccoon and possum poop look very similar. What works for a cat won't work on either one of these animals.

Putting a water bowl out front is the easiest way to stop a cat from doing it there. They won't poop within 50 or 60 feet of a place they eat or drink from when outside.
