Records and toy cars are always good moneyspinners.
Look out for rare records. Some people don't know what they've got and sell for pennies.
1960's/70's dinky and corgi toys can be bought for next to no money and shifted later on ebay for big bucks (if you know what you're doing!)

not sure i can spell it right, my husband bought a ossilator, it is a machine that messures eletronic signals, anyway my husband said to the bloke does it work, the guy said he was not sure it just has a green dot in the middle of the screen, he ask how much, it was 1 pound, he bought it,
i ask what the hell had he bought this big ugly thing for if it was broken, but it was meant to have a green dot on the screen, he took it home cleaned it up tested it and sold the next day 75 quid, made 74 pounds in 24 hours

No, but many moons ago we bought some really good quality dessert bowls. Think they must have been restauraunt ones, they huv been a smashing addition tae oor wee collection of odd dishes. Ye can drop them, fling them in the micro and shove them in the oven!!! They are still in first class condition!!!

Yeah, I bought a dresser for a fiver back in 1984 that turned out to be worth over £3,000. I still stash my tightey-whiteys in it. ;)
