All I can find online are directions from Swords to Limerick Junction, which seems to be a good way off from Limerick City. Does anyone have a direct route from Swords, or even from Dublin Airport, to Limerick City? Thanks.

Take the M50 motorway from Swords and get off it when you reach the N7, which will have Limerick, Naas and other places signposted. Keep going on the N7 for about 2 hours (maybe more, depending on traffic), and you will reach the Northern part of Limerick city.

Don't forget to have some change for the toll gate on the M50, I think you will need about €1.80.

Here is the AA route planner for Ireland. Type in Dublin airport at From: and Limerick City at To:.
The second site is the google road-map of Ireland you can zoom in on to follow the directions.
It is fairly straightforward, once you leave the M50 in Dublin you will be following the N7 which has a motorway (M7) for part of the journey until you reach the outskirts of Limerick

It's pretty straight forward. Take the M1 direction Dublin City Centre and M50. Take the M50 exit and drive southbound until you reach the exit for the N7. That road will take you straight to Limerick.
