I'm 5'3" and i weight 116 lb. ( I'm 12 and a girl). i wear medium tops and range from size 1-5 jeans ( different stores)
Am I fat?
i really want to lose 10 lb before school starts. any tips?

No, you're not fat, and losing weight at this time in your life is contra-indicated. You're at the verge of a huge growth spurt. You will have 6 months when you just stretch like saltwater taffy. 5'3 116lbs is not great, though you're still in great sizes for jeans. But 5'7 and 116 lbs sounds a whole bunch better, don't you agree? In the summer of my 12th year, I grew 6 inches. I'm sure that will happen to you, too.

Now's not the time to diet. You're growing. Eat healthily, but don't go around hungry.
If you're worried about your figure, exercise. Don't go crazy, just keep moving.

You wait. 116 is not a big deal, especially when your age. You're going to be much taller and stretched out and beautiful.

most guy would ocnsider you fat is you have:
1- a muffin top (when your fat rolls over the top of your pants, properly fitting ants that is)
2- if your stomach jiggles when you walk.

if you answered NO to all those then you not fat but if you still think you are then:
1- increase the # of meals you hav in the day yet decreace the ammout of food you eat. so, you should even out at about the same ammount of calories each day as before expt you increase metabolism.
2- If you get a chance to do some cardio wether its outaside or a gym, look up "HIIT". its a cardio technique used by your trully and it worked wonders for me

Only you can be the judge of how you feel. Going by numbers-nahh you're not at all FAT. But numbers lie.

So if you feel like you want to lose weight than substitute some of the unhealthy snacks you eat with fruits and veggies, drink more water, and go swimming more often. Also get some sun and take vitamins daily.

No, u r not fat, as long as u do the simple things like play sport from time to time, it doesn't have to be organized, it could be for fun, and don't eat out every single day, then u should be good.

Hey! well first of all you aren't fat at all. Trust me. But here are some options that would helpL walking, biking, cardio, and eat healthy (try and cut down on junk food and soda) Good luck!

Your 12. You should go have a nice day at the swing set or something, not worry about your weight, you have plently of time to worrie about that when your 13.

No, you are not fat. You are at a very healthy weight, and you are still growing. Stay active, eat right, and don't worry!

Try going for walks, and cut out soda, if you drink it.
But please don't starve yourself, hun.
