I have a problem i would appriciate some help with. You see, i'm not a chirstian and wasn't raised in a christian home, however, during the years i've spent with my best friend who's a very faithful chirstian, i've seen changes in her and how she's always so at ease. lately, i've felt more and more that i wanna let the Lord into my life, but my problem is, as much as i want to, i can't seem to believe just quite yet in how he saved the world. Maybe i just need to do my reseach more, or whats the deal here?
Could anyone advice me on a chirstian book becides the bible that i could pick up and read that could maybe help me put things in perspective for me??
Thanks everyone, and wish me luck lol..

That is an excellent point that you saw it from her character. It was not what she said but how she walked with Christ. Since she knows you better perhaps she could share some book ideas. I bet she would even have a few to lend. You can also go to a Christian book store and they could recommend a few. You may also want to read The Purpose Driven Life. It may explain why she lives like she does. I will pray that the continues lead you to good people.
Yours in Christ,
Miss Mona

Below is an excellent site for you to look at that will answer a lot of your questions. Just to let you know, Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church. All the other Christian religions followed later using the Catholic Church as their model. It is the One True Church. You can check it out on Yahoo or anywhere else. There is no question and it is an historical fact. All religions agree on that. Good luck to you and I hope you find what you are looking for. May God bless you.

Josh McDowell has a very interesting writing style...check out More than a Carpenter or Evidence that Demands a Verdict. I read the original "Evidence" book many years ago and it was especially compelling because he started out looking for evidence to disprove the existence of Christ.

Oh, there are lots of them. Not just the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, but just about ANY book by Lee Strobel. You can also try Josh McDowell. There are lots of apologetics books out there (that's what you're looking for, apologetics). You can go to amazon.com and perform a search, or go to your local bookstore and ask them. If you have a Christian bookstore in your area, that would help even more.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me at farkas419@yahoo.com. Best of luck!

Sister it is enough that you believe in the Lord. You don't have to become a christian to find the peace that you seek in your life. If you believe in God, and feel drawn to worshipping Him, then you have received His call on your heart. God leads those He will to his blessing and push away those He chooses.
I feel the same as you about Jesus, I never believed that He died for our sins, saved the world as such. So I did a lot of research until I found the religion that fit with MY belief systems. I didn't bend my beliefs to that of which others believed. Open your heart and your mind, and research the various religions that worship God, and you will find the answers you seek. Please don't rush into it, take your time, and God will reveal to you where you belong.
Peace and blessings,
Fatimah

FIRST...... You will only Find GOD..... IF you are truly searching for Him.... with All Your HEART!
(Jeremiah 29:11-12-13) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
(Jer 29:12) Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
(Jer 29:13) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
SECOND..... please see my 360 / Blog and see what I have written there. My testimony from Religion to Christ.... and How to Study the Bible and Who Am I. [ just click onto my Avatar.... picture of the UNDERGROUND ]
THIRD...... Set some time for yourself.... and open the Bible to the Gospel of John. Take some time and read it over and See what JESUS.... said about Himself. Take some paper and write out for yourself.... what He [ Jesus ] says....!
FOURTH..... get the Free Bible Software..... www.e-sword.net [ not my site ] and download it to your computer. You will be able to see the Word in its original language, both OT Hebrew and NT Greek, as well as many English language translations.
FIFTH.... please feel free to contact me for more information and with Any Question.
SIXTH..... Oh yes..... do not get Sucked INTO..... one of those Cults.... that say that Jesus is not GOD!
Thanks, RR

Is your friend aware of how her God views women?
Genesis 3:16 - "To the woman he said, 'I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.'"
Please read the Bible before doing something you'll regret later. Not reading the Bible is how these things get started. Your church will only teach what backs up a given agenda. Read the whole thing.
[Edit] I've said nothing inaccurate. What this tells me is that the people thumbs-downing me don't want you to read the Bible. Is it because they recognise that what I'm saying is true, and actually reading that thing is pretty destructive toward recruiting you? They are only proving my point.
