I have heard that Trinidad, Brazil and Baranquilla, Colombia are great carnival celebrations, can someone comment on these and suggest others? I want to have fun but I don't want to get shot or have to worry about where I can go. I will be traveling alone and am a male.

There are many that you can go to, if you time it right, you could spend the entire year visiting one Caribbean or South American nation going from one Carnival to another.

Of course, I must state for the record, that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is the best, but our women would wear you out completely. So you probably will want to go somewhere sedate and leisurely.

Brazil is by far the biggest and best carnival and an experience of a lifetime. The colour is the most overwhelming and welcome experience for anyone whom has never seen a Carnival procession such as the one in Brazil. They spend millions on it. The others are just mere "copies"

P:S Everyone is too happy dancing and drunk or busy looking at half dressed women with big @@@@ & whats its or having sex to bother to want to shoot you at Brazil (Rio) Carnival!

Barranquilla has a great Carnaval... Its fun, the people are very hospitable as in the rest of Colombians ... Brazil may be too overwhelming and full of people and I wouldn´t go to Trinidad.( but that's me). Here´s a link.. Colombia in General is very cheap and affordable....

Have Fun..
