There's many local charities and voluntary organisations that are involved. Some of the national charities include the British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Salvation Army, Oxfam, Muslim Aid, CAFOD, Lifeboats (RNLI) and several of the search and rescue organisations.
Much of the work is being co-ordinated by the Police, Fire Service, Military and Environment Agency although these aren't charities as such.
If you're wanting to make a donation then the Red Cross may be the best place to start. If they can't help directly they may be able to point you towards someone who can. Alternatively contact the local authority or Environment Agency and see what advice they can offer.

British pink pass is the only charity i'm responsive to that's doing something at cutting-edge. yet given they way they artwork you do no longer comprehend that any / all monies raised will pass to united kingdom flood sufferers. in many circumstances BRC, Oxfam and others do make money, yet usually merely before what they get carry of. they typically tend to apply the present catastrophe (notwithstanding this is) as a results of fact the merchandising bring about recoup what they have paid out. So all the money they desire to advance from a particular campaign could or won't have been given to the reported objectives of the campaign. i'm no longer saying this is the case throughout the time of this occasion, yet lots of the 'massive' charities use merchandising focused on instantaneous concerns yet usually spend their money someplace else....

Look don't worry, remember Boscastle, not all of those that fell victim to the flash flood had insurance, yet they were all taken care of, not only by charitable donations but also by government handouts, the same will happen for the victims of the more recent floods.

Haven't heard of any yet which is very disappointing. Their local Social Services would probably know of any if you wanted to give something. Try contacting them.

1.Why so that the victims can repair their petrol polluting cars and carry on causing havoc with the climate?
2.That's what governments are for to aid their people in a crisis?
3.That's what people in the UK pay tax for?
And yes I live in an area that has always suffered from floods.
