What about the very worst offenders? Would we build a huge torture chamber and put them in it forever? Or, would the focus be about rehabilitation?

IF we lived forever then a life sentance would be even MORE of a punishment. Being punished for 10 thousand years in prison - I can think of few worse things. Death would be a release from it.
Torture is utterly barbaric however. No civilized society should EVER use it.

That's a horrible thought. Torture is out. Rehab would be the only answer. Of course, it doesn't always work for everyone. Repeat offenders would have to be locked up for an eternity. Think about how much that would cost the prison systems. I guess we could drop them off in the Sahara desert. Or, we could jettison them out into space!

well im sure if we lived forever. there would be worse problems then criminals. ppl have babys everyday the population would be to high for the amounts of foods and supplys we need to live ! it would be hard just to get a meal eventually. but with the criminals. i dont think that would work because thered be so many it would be easy to overpower the good. if we lived forever it wouldnt be very good we would fight for space food water and everything else

Star Fleet made criminals security guards, on starships (they recognized the similarity between cop and crook). Then, when their number came up, the went on 'away missions'. Guess who never came back!

rehab. the murderers and pure evil ones should stay locked up from society. they even admit it themselves.
