you get all you need of that trace element in the foods you eat, anything not used by the body is simply excreted so taking a supplement is a waste of money.

One gets sufficient amounts of chromium picolinate thorugh his normal diet. There is no requirement to take supplements externally.
I wonder why you intend to take chromium externally anyway?!! In case this is regarding body development and weight loss, then I need to forewarn you that the very claims of weight loss trigerred by chromium picolinate are questionable.
The only slight benefit that external intake of chromium picolinate holds is with regards to diabetes patients. However, that too is debatable.
Besides, there are also debatable claims that an overdose of chromium picolinate can cause DNA damage.
So choose at your own peril.
Personallly, I would advise you against any supplements.
