Where on Earth did you get the idea that animals are meaningless and without souls...they just have differents souls, according to the Bible...and they will be with us in Heaven..remember this verse..
Isaiah 11:6 Parallel Translations
NASB: And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. (NASB ©1995)
GWT: Wolves will live with lambs. Leopards will lie down with goats. Calves, young lions, and year-old lambs will be together, and little children will lead them.(GOD'S WORD®)
KJV: The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Now check this out
"Search in the Lord's book of living creatures and read what it says. Not one of these creatures will be missing and not one will be without its mate. The Lord has commanded it to be so; He Himself will bring them together. It is the Lord who will divide the land among them and give each of them a share. They will live in the land age after age, and it will belong to them for ever." Isaiah 34:16, 17

Souls, shmouls - those are mythical conceits, as are gods and devils. The connection with a pet, on the other hand, is quite real; I feel at least as strongly about losing a pet as I do about losing a friend or family member.
None of us has "souls" but all of us experience love.

Animals are not meaningless -
But humans cry when they die because of their own selfish egos. They cry because they are going to miss the thing that replaced the hollow spot in their heart.
I don't see it that way, myself. I celebrate the life and the time I shared with something that I enjoyed. We are all allotted only so many seconds here on this earth. Who am I to argue it is unfair?

A Course In Miracles teaches that loving thoughts are the world's only reality; only the disheartened can conceive of such cosmic ugliness that anything created can be meaningless...it is only the images we project that are meaningless, but even then "God" understands they belong to us, and in this lives our freedom.
"Soul" is the vitality of life, and every living thing possesses it...therein lies an answer, and the seed for more questions...

I don't know about souls, but who says animals are meaningless?
Lots of people give a great deal of affection to their pets, so it's natural to be upset when one dies.

Who says they don't have souls? Besides the point anyway, that doesn't answer your question, does it? Would you cry if a friend the wasn't of you religion died? Would you to the funeral? Same with pets. The become your best friends and come to mean so much to you.

I have found nothing in the Bible that says they don't have a soul. And mind you I am not looking. When we are hurting or in pain why do they try to comfort us. They treat us better than a lot of people do. So I say they go to heaven.
Yours in Christ,
Miss Mona

We cry because we loved them as pets, friends, and family members. It hurts to lose something or someone that you love.

I've come to care about animals more so than humans because animals seem to have more common sense and heart than humans.

we are all animals, we share the same planet. Our natural compassion makes us cry. what has the concept of soul got to do with it?
