with notepad the default way to display text is to the right till it hits the 255 character width of its textbox control...(cheap programming)...
however some one at microsoft thought of an add on that would resolve the situation for those who were not seeking to make advantage of the 255 character line.. they introduced the concept of wordwrap...
wordwrap is where by the editor automatically moves the text to the next line so that reading becomes more easier and the text can be more organised and formatted..
to achieve this in notepad you have to ensure that wordwrap is activated.
to activate word wrap. follow the following.
on the menu click on format. and you will see two menu items font and wordwrap
font is for the selection of fonts and clicking wordwrap will activate the wordwrap feature of notepad.. so that the text is auto put to the next line when the screen is full
when word wrap is activated it will be ticked. and you only have to activate it ounce,....
till you decide to deactivate it in which case you will have to activate it again to use the feature.
Good Luck and God Speed

Dorothy Z must be a typist because with computers, you only press ENTER to begin a new paragraph.

Format> Wordwrap is the correct answer! Thumbs up for those with that answer.
