I've just recently found out a few of them who were in my life have been put to sleep because they were old.

Revelations - 21:4

"and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any mourning, crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

This scripture hits me hard - I have pets that I love - I still have horses and dogs, but I couldn't imagine an afterlife without them.

Does this make me a bad person because I'm more excited to be reunited with my pets than God?

You are very normal since you have your animals around you and they are a physical pleasure to you here on earth. Of course you want to be with them. I was soooo sad when our beloved dog passed away. I know it's just a human emotion we cannot suppress or deny. God knows your heart and understands! Once we meet God, we will then know the Full impact of His love, and henceforth never want to be without it either, as our pets and loved ones here on earth.

You would be bad in the eyes of God. For God commands that we love him more than anyone else. And you are disobey God here. Could you even have pets to love if God had not created them? Or if he had you in a situation where pets you could never have? Think of these.

We should Love GOD First, then every other Love will be Right and Balanced!

Heaven is a Planet.
Earth is a Copy of Planet Heaven.
GOD Gives the Desires of your Heart
Expect to see alot of your "Friends" There (Planet Heaven)---GOD is GOOD!

Well, I like you for your compassion for real things, and that you value them over the fantasy.

Sadly, there is no post-death dreamworld. When you say goodbye, that's it.

I think the pronouncement that animals are placed on this planet entirely for our use and disposal is one of the most distasteful aspects of the Bible.

I don't think it's the pets themselves you miss. I think you miss the companionship that having a pet brings.

If you're a Christian, you shouldn't worry about that scripture. In fact, it should comfort you when you lose a pet. It sure comforts me! :-)
