Your picture is a girl. Women can not be in the special forces of the army. You have to be a man, age 20-30.

So...if your avatar is a good indicator, and you are a woman, no Rangers for you. Sorry!

My advice is that you must think in terms of what you want to get out of the Military after the enlistment. What it is that you like to do?. Do you like computers, communications, truck driving, military police, physical therapy assistant, dentist assistant, health care. The Army can give you the start a something that could be career. It is up to you. Believe it or not, you can do all that and also be a Ranger with more emphasis on the infantry and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. To be a Ranger you also have to be airborne, good swimmer and in top shape. They are a proud group but you can forget about a private life, you are not allow to have one. It is ready to go all the time. And yes, you will end up in Iraq or Afghanistan.

great idea! if you want to be ranger certified. army rangers are an elite force, nothing to joke about. ranger school is the school where a "gun ho" attitude is formed, and for good reason. to say that ranger school is exhausting is an understatement. If you go to ranger school then your chances of going to a war zone are high, but that is why people go to ranger school. they train you to be strong and live in the worst conditions. why would they train you for combat if you are not going to be in combat?

If you're not a wimp, yes. Your chances of going to a war zone? Pretty high. My son just finished Ranger school last year and he's on his way to Iraq next month.

i would join the marines because they are the best, and your chances of going to iraq depend on your test schools when you take your physical. my son joined the marines and wanted infantry and because he scored so high on his tests they sent him to school for aviation electronics
