It is pronounced Neeokee (but g isn't silent...it is another sound......i don't know....for example like ng in king)

yes it is..its kind of strange to eat...cause its potatoe but it looks like pasta...i worked for 7 months at a stop and shop in an area that was primarily Italian...thats where i heard about this stuff
