We don't need to "find God"; He isn't lost.

We need to find what blocks us off from God.
We need to do the work, then God can come to us and through us.

Do you agree that it is our responsibility?
and
how do we remove our blocks?

I agree, God isn't or never has been "lost". Regardless of religion or spiritual beliefs, what blocks us from "the sunlight of the spirit" is the sense of "Self"
When we realize that there is a God and it isnt us..that is when we can start making spiritual progress.

How do we remove our blocks? Maybe with the 7th step prayer of A.A,....? Simply put:

My Creator,
I am now willing that you have all of me. Good and Bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stand in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows. Grant me strength as I go out from here, to do your bidding.
Thy will, not mine be done.

I think that is spot on.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (it is only us who have moved.)

Definitely we need to look at the things that block us from God, sin, things you put in importance before God, Forgive one another

Remove the blocks through prayer, assess what the blocks are and repent....

Just Like this!!!

1.Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, give thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things that Wakan Tanka ---Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

Wahoo!!!

God is many things to many people, whether they be Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan, Wiccan, Shinto, Taoist or any other faith. "God" is just another word for the imperceptable universal "creative power" everyone needs to interpret it in their own way and we should respect that as long as people are prepared to respect us! and that's my Agnostic opinion.
