It looks to me that militant Mormonism has hijacked Christianity and twisted religion into a blasphemous and sad answer to their feeling of inadequacy. Most notably I would like to take note of their doctrine that promises that they will become a Deity at death and further that they will have single women sealed to them. So being a subject of the King of Kings isn't good enough you have to become a Deity as well. Sad!

Lets also take Brigham Young for example. It took 51 wives to make this guy feel like half a man. Good grief. When you look at the evil men that started that religion how can you regard it as a legitimate religion?

They like to say that King Solomon had 700 wives but they fail to remember that King Solomon is of the Old Testament. Jesus taught us not to follow the sinful ways of characters in the Old Testament. Jesus died for our sins and he didn't teach us to repeat the sins that Brigham Young openly flaunted.

No. There are many differences between Christians and Mormons. First being that they wrote a whole other book, The Book of Mormon. There are also theological differences that I would not have enough space or time to type. Read the book What do Mormons Really Believe, By Ankerberg and Weldon. I had a run in with two elders and was unprepared to defend my faith after they told me I would not be saved because I did not read the Book of Mormon. Of course if you ask someone from the mormon church if they are christain they will say yes.

The levitical and Aaronic priesthood have come to an end. The word Church is referred to those with Apostolic Succession. The LDS church does not have Apostolic Succession. The priesthood of the Jews does not work in the Christian dispensation no matter what the LDS say.

It's no more invalid than the rest.

Acutally, The Book of Mormon is clearly racist. The story of the founders is ridiculously and transparently contrived.

To top it all off . . . it's a johnny-come-lately religion. What was God doing all those years before? . . . waiting for people to discover American Indians?

Give me a break!! At least you spell Mormons similarly to morons. One little "m" makes all the difference.

Well, to answer that question, we would have to decide what make a religion valid in the first place.
If you're accusing the Mormon faith of hypocrisy, look around then. You can bring down almost any church with that argument.

Just a thought, best wishes.

My ex is a Mormon and I considered it once. The Book of Mormon is fine. It is basically a history book and I prayed to God and asked about it and got an approval.
But their D&C book is diffently all man-made. That is why they are conterdicting the Bible (and the Book Of Mormon).
It is all those strange conterdictions. I gave up reading it at the half way point.

Good fruit does not come from bad trees. If Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were so evil, then why are Mormons such good people?

It's just another cult among many, who teach a false gospel. I assume you were Mormon, but managed to have your eyes opened and got out.

Contact Mormon recovery websites and learn as much as you can about how these groups operate so that you can be better equipped to deal with them and others who will be coming out. They will need guidance at first.

Scaly overlord; Where in scripture does it say only Catholics can be or will be saved?

Didn't you know all cults make this same declaration-- only those within their group can attain to salvation?

Scripture says it is through faith we are saved; faith in Christ, and not faith in an organization.

Mormonism isn't a part of Christianity. People only say that because they believe in the same God as Christianity (but then again, so do Muslims, and they're not considered to be Christian).
