I have nine dogs (mom, dad and their 7 pups, now 5 years old) & four cats. When the pups were young mom managed to lead them through a hole in the fence they'd made & off they went onto a cattle ranch.
They're Australian Blue Heeler/Border Collies.
See cow: make cow move.
You can imagine they thought themselves in heaven. Until the owner of the cattle took a shot at them, & managed to shoot off mom's front leg.
The pups ran home right away. Mom took hours to get home, her leg dangling by a piece of skin.
Were I the thing in the bible, I'd have just watched her bleed to death.
I scooped her up, put her in the car, drove like a maniac to the vet, & she is the sweetest most loving three-legged dog I know.
I look at her & I feel love & I feel guilt as she wouldn't be in this position if I'd done a better job building the fence.
How anyone can believe a god can feel less compassion for us than I feel for my dog, is beyond me.

That's how I know the thing in the bible isn't real. My God is more compassionate than I am, or it isn't worth the spit to turn the page.

That is so good of you to take such good care of your dog. Yes, you show more love and compassion than the Christian god, no doubt about it. After all, would you torture your dog with fire for an eternity if it were disobedient? Of course not. I take better care of my Sims 2 characters than the Christian God does his creations.

Sir,
Let me introduce you to a word in the English language you many have not come across. SOME. Ex. Some Christians say, SOME Christians do, etc. etc.
God has love and Compassion to ALL.
ALL: means everyone, not just a certain group.
What is beyond me is that you can see the love and beauty in some of the things for example what Proud Muslimah Beauty posted, but you refuse to see that the Christians are saying and posting loving thought to you and others just the same. Why is that?!
Sir, I don't believe you ever read the Bible. If you ever did, you wouldn't ask these question. Most likely whatever you read that is supposed to be from the Bible are quotes on the web that are meant only to be negative.
Sir,
You have such a kind eyes, and gentle smile, and yet your words seem to contradict and fail you! Why!
You sir, seem to be a good example of don't judge a book by it's cover.
Wishes for you: May you find the Love you long for so that it will resonate to all those around you, to All. May you have peace of mind, spirit and soul. PEACE.

specific it makes me mad. It additionally makes me mad which you placed Christians down for actually no reason. My dogs are area of my kin and are dealt with as such. perhaps you heard Muslims say that because they don't have faith dogs are "sparkling" animals. each and every Christian i've got ever widespread has cherished their pets and mourned the lack of ability of one. I nonetheless cry questioning approximately Sasha, my Shepard/husky combination I had. She became 17 years 5 months and 21 days old once I had to place her to sleep. She could desire to by no skill be replaced, even nonetheless i like my 2 labs very lots. some human beings do merely in comparison to animals and it has no longer something to do with their ideals. relatively Christians in all probability finally end up having extra comprehend because we adore all of God's creations and don't evaluate something from God as unclean or valueless. God Bless.

Most of the stories in the bible are there for a lesson of some kind, and God loves all, but God hates sin and knows it can not continue , it consumes us, so if we by choice chose to hold onto sin well then that person would not be happy living in a world without it,.

NO. God has more compassion than we can comprehend. That is why you are asking this question. The problem is man is responsible for the woes of this world. God provided a way out. A way to a place that is the exact opposite of this world. Perfect, and a place without suffering or pain. This is just a scratch on the surface of the compassion of God.

Perfect. My tiny, spoiled housedog is kennel trained, gets spanked for not alerting me when she has to go outside because we have an apartment and she is on a strict diet to avoid becoming overweight. Some people think I'm strict with my pet. But she is also very loved, I make sure she is fed, watered, adored, bathed, taken to get medical attention whenever she needs it and once when she was lost, I stayed awake all night trying to find her unable to eat or sleep for worry. I felt responsible, not more then token angry at the animal, scared for my pet, not vengeful.
I prefer a strict parent who thinks of the contingencies then a relaxed one who does not plan at all.
As for god, well, s/he looks after my jack russell so I suppose I can entrust my families safety to this entity too.

You're suffering from way to much guilt. And I suspect your're anticipating another loss. The good news is, you're exactly who you're supposed to be right now, and your compassion may very well serve as an example for others, to be more righteous. But you do sound really bitter dude...

Except that if God built a fence around us between us and evil, we wouldn't have free will, without which man could not truly love God. Until the you or another skeptic can show that a universe with love (even though it entails the possibility of evil) is worse than a universe without love (even though it entails no possibility of evil), then the "problem of evil" argument will always falter. It is not God who caused the human suffering and so forth, but man's misuse of free will.

okay. so how is it Christan's fault? Have you ever considered that the evil act done by people come from the evil one? I understand your sadness but it wasn't an act of kindness what was done to your dog. I think your beef (no pun intended) is with the rancher and he probably felt that you were irresponsible for letting them get out of their yard and did what he thought was right to protect his livestock. And war and all of the evil that goes on in this world is not from God. It is from men who are influenced to do evil. I hope your dog is okay.

All you proved is you love your animals Jesus loves his flock
and is preparing a better place for them. This question belongs under pets. Unless you worship animals it has nothing to do with one's belief in or non belief in God. Should
people who believe in a higher being post question under pets. Oh by the way if I had been your neighbor I would have called you and told you your dogs were out. I believe we are
to love our neighbors even if we don't agree on issues.

That is a real sad story
But i fail to see how you include the bible into it.
Are you trying to say it is gods fault the farmer shot you dog ?
Is it gods fault the dogs got through a hole in the fence. ( i can see arguments to say it's your fault)
If god allows humans to die what makes you thing a dogs life is worth more ????
Remember that the bible considers dogs as and unclean animal
It mentions dog as eating their own vomit(2 Peter 2:22)
sure love her as i love my dog but don't blame god for her problems.
God feels more compassion for you than you feel for your dog.
Remember he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins
