It would be one thing if their questions were asked seeking a legitimate answer, or if they were giving useful, constructive answers. They are trolls who just want to scoff and mock God and those who believe in Him. They are trying to keep people away from religion and God that may need Him. This is the wickedness that their heart is inclined to do. It's an evil thing that they enjoy doing. A fool says in his heart that there is no God.

Religion and Spirituality does NOT mean Christianity. Actually, as a Christian myself, I am appalled at the way many of my faith view it as the only path to salvation...
Many Christians will be quite chocked when there are Buddhists, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, Shintos, Pagans and people from every other religion on Earth in Heaven. God doesn't discriminate. He accepts good people of all faiths.
Perhaps you should concentrate more on Christ's message "Love your neighbor as yourself", and try to learn about others, and respect them. The world is an incredibly diverse place, and each person has something to share.
On another note, you would be surprised how many things most of the world religions have in common: a strive for peace, alms for the poor, a respect for human life, a belief in an afterlife better than the Earthly one... We should be concentrating on what makes us the same, not being divisive by asserting that "non-believers" not be allowed to be on the religion and spirituality site.
Oh, and on another note, Jesus hates poor spelling... the word is "ridiculous". In case you haven't noticed, there's a little thing above the box where you type your question that says "check spelling". Or, perhaps, I am just being persnickety, because it is summer, and I don't have any students' work to correct right now. As I tell my students, no one will take your writing seriously if they can't read it because of your poor spelling, grammar and punctuation.

What a great question. As a Christian myself, I have to say that I appreciate the fact that non-believers answer my questions....It shows me that they are actually seeking the Lord out even though they may leave naughty replies. Keep in mind that as a whole we are all ministering to them. They can't get away from us because they have so many unanswered questions in their lives and I am sure that they see the glory of God in our lives and desperately wish they had the same happiness.

It's always good to know what the other side is really thinking because it helps you to form a more educated opinion.
I'm one of those liberals that America hates so much and I regularly read George Wills' and Pat Robertsons' columns and occassionally I agree with them.
That doesn't mean that I plan to become a conservative ,it just means that i'm not limiting myself to only reading things that I agree with.

I thought everyone knew by now.
We are here for the drinks!
And, of course, there is the highly entertaining and comic value when people ask questions like "why are you here" because they have no concept of what can be intellectually stimulating.
Let's all drink now!

Because this site is called Yahoo Answers, not Yahoo Ministries. We come here to ask and answer questions. That's why everyone should come here. Never to preach..

I expect that here - however spirituality does not have to have anything to do with a set religion; the two can be entirely independent.
Outside of here, if someone starts 'preaching' to me I politely but ~firmly~ tell them to keep it to themselves because I'm not interested.

That is ridiculous why don't you go away and just get over yourself people (non religious peeps).
But, It does make it more interesting to hear different opinions and why I'm not that religion.

There is a whole other side to this group called SPIRITUALITY that many people have come here for and I'm sure when you refer to Non-believers you are only referring to the ones that don't believe in the same things you do. If you need confirmation of your beliefs go to church.
If this forum was for Christians Only, you'd be preaching to the choir.

I really agree with what you are asking...but..remember...perhaps we can reach even ONE of these people...it makes all of it worthwhile!!! :-)
For the ones who just act like smart alecs, I only hope and pray that their attitude changes before it's too late. When they stand before God at the White Throne Judgement (if they're not saved), they'll be reminded by God of every nasty, sinful thing they wrote in here, let alone how they lived the rest of their lives. THEN they will realize we were only trying to help them and yet it will be too late for them, cause there's no changing your mind once you're sent to hell. No go-backs guys.
