no. it is not a sin. no matter what religion you friends or family are, it is not a sin to wish them happy birthday.
ifit considered a sin, wouldnt you think being related with them would be a sin too?
friends are still friends, no matter what religion they have.
same with family too.

i had a christian tell me once that me wishing someone well was a sin because i was an atheist. wish i was kidding. i had a pretty good laugh over that.
