If so, can a canadian citizen also hold a position such as Treasurer of a PTA?

Sure, why the heck not!! Anyone who has a child in school can be a member of their PTA and may hold an office of the PTA!

I wouldn't want a dirty Canuck in my PTA... all speaking French and believing in socialized medicine and what not.

Just kidding... in that PTA's are on officially sanctioned political organizations, it would be perfectly acceptable, and if your child is a student I would suggest it. Furthermore, if you have a propensity towards economics, I think it would be doing the PTA a disservice if you did not at least run.

The PTA is a school organization that allows members who have children in the particular school not on citizenship.
