Listen to the thoughts that come into your head when you ask a question. Ask what they mean or for an explanation. You soon will have a conversation going and get answers. It works. Try it. You don't have to be Christian or anything. Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus weren't. For those who only believe in science, think of it as your subconscious and the other nintey percent of the brain that science says we don't use consciously. As for asking for things, look around, you may see the answers or people who will tell you and ask why not or how to get them. It didn't work for me until I met someone that it worked for and that gave me enough faith. After all, "faith is the evidence". Seeing is believing.

Could it be that Jesus was just a man, or that he can not possibly listen to 2 billion people praying each day? Believers will tell that he does it for your own good, etc., and if 1 out 100 prayers is answered, they will then say "See, Jesus answers prayer".
Better make a plan to obtain what you want. Don't wait for a miracle or you may wait forever. You can improve your life yourself by working on it. If you don't get exactly what you want, you may end up with something else that makes you just as happy.

First of all are you saved/reborn?? If not, that is why He doesn't hear your prayers. You can't just expect Him to answer prayers if you are not saved by the blood of Jesus.
If you ARE saved....God DOES hear your prayers, but God doesn't answer to your timing....He reveals His answers in His PERFECT time. Plus, sometimes the answer is NO, not now cause it's not in your best interest right now, even though you may think it is! God is perfect!

Be sincere - ask all your true questions.
Somethimes we don't ask the right questions.
Sometimes there is something in the way in
our own hearts.
Sometimes there is something else we need to learn.
Be still before God and you can even ask God to
let you know what you should pray about!
He is not playing any games - there is a reason.
Sometimes His answer is yes, no, or even wait!
Don't have fear when you pray!

because maybe what you're asking for isn't the best for you.. maybe he has something else in mind that will help you.. what exactly were you asking for??
see, with humans, we only see our side of the story.. we want what we want.. sounds kinda selfish, huh??
but God/Jesus sees the big picture.. so many other people are praying for a lot of different things and He answers according to what He knows we need instead of what we want..

He doesn't answer prayers of those who don't believe in Him, with the exception of "God, be merciful to me, a sinner."

Maybe he is waiting for you to help yourself?
When I pray, it is usually to calm my mind. I don't expect God or anyone else to do things for me. I realize I have to help myself. And if I am confused, I think about the information I have at hand, try and understand it, and come to a conclusion. You are not helpless. I believe you can do it on your own.

Leave Jesus alone. He is busy taking care of his own Karma.
The Truth IS you are the Creator of your own world. If you want something or desire to change something then do it yourself.

Jesus isn't a vending machine, so maybe his answer was 'no'.

Because he is not real.
It is just like an Urban Legend.
A story that is carried by word of mouth for generations changing as it goes.
