Why don't you take it to the vet for it's check up and vaccinations and they will tell you what gender your kitten is. It's easy really if you know what you are looking for. Also it is important you take your kitten to the vet to check her/his health and ensure s/he does not have cat flu which is easily picked up by kittens.

When you have figured out the gender of your kitten, you can set about naming it. There are some cute names and should really suit your kitten's temperament. My friend called her kitten Daisy because she used to stumble over her little paws a lot and my friend used to keep saying "oops a daisy"!

Enjoy your kitten, they are adorable.

What about Nermil, Garfield nephew, he was a grey kitten often with the caption, the cutest kitten in the world that only works if he is male.

What about Storm or Gracey-( thats what our kittens called)

How about Willow as in ***** willow? (Hmm... evidently they find the word p-ssy offending when you don't mean it to be and Yahoo had * it out! ) Anyway, as i was saying, It would work for male or female. Or perhaps Smudge, Cinder, smokey, misty ...

Or you could be unimaginative and name it Spot! That's what my husband named our gray female. poor thing had a complex! LOL

We have had several cats over the years and have named them for their markings or antics. We have Swiffer, (She's a pure black female) As you can imagine, she crawls underthings and collects dust and cobwebs along the way!

We named one Fritzie after my mother in law since she was meaner that sh--! LOL Then there was Gateway, the black and white cat. One named Rorsache because of his ink blot markings on his underside. We named one Pez since he would nudge his head like the flip top head when he was being petted. We named one Cessna since it has such a loud purr. So you can name your kitty for more than just it's markings. We also named one Chessie after the gray kitten on the railroad system.

Male or female: French for male cat: chat;
female: chatte; Spainish LaGato (female); LeGato (male). LeGato is also the name of a Spanish musician. To intensify the grey in Spainish your cat could be LaGato Gris Marengo (charcoal) or Gris Peria (pearl). Of if you do not care whether the cat be male of female just use Gato with the definitive colors.

Hi if you want to know what your cat is meaning a boy or girl try looking under their tail if there's just one hole it's a boy if there is an upside down exclamination mark it's a girl. If your cat has stripes you could call if riger or something like that or smokey or if it looks like it has a racoon type markings on it's rail you could catt if rocky. hope these are helpful suggestions!

Gandolf for a male (after LotR's Gandolf the Grey)

I can't think of any female names, but I like the Stormy/Cloud suggestions
