Don't tell me you don't - we routinely get Christians in this forum speaking with glee about their belief that billions of souls will burn in hell. And with NO PROOF WHAT-SO-EVER THAT ANY OF THEIR CLAIMS ARE TRUE.
Why is that? Is it just a sick desire - are they evil - do they not respect human life - do they not really understand what it would mean to roast in hell for all eternity and how absurd the whole idea is?
Come on Christinas - explain how you can be so cruel. Does your religion make you that way or are you naturally evil?

Batgirl - you're right to anextent that I hate somethings - like people who spread falsehoods in the name of a fictional God figure, but my hate is at the message, not the person. When I see someone condemn good people just because they happen to disagree and then tell them they are going to rot in some hell state and they take some degree of joy in that; yes, there is a degree of hatered for that person. You Christians have no proof at all that what you're saying is true - yet you readily condemn others - there is something inhertantly disturbing with that.

They seem to be possessed of this overweening arrogance that, since there's is the "one-true religion", the rest of us are nothing.
I even read one Christian comment that when he was in heaven he would look down and be laughing at all the atheists, rosting forever in the fiery pits of hell.
Such compassion!

I agree that there are some people who delight in the suffering of others,. There are some religious people who are not nice human beings who would like the thought of people burning in hell if they cannot be badgered into believing the particular dogma that is being pushed. Perhaps they wish that fate on those they do not like, because they are using God to punish their enemies.
But remember that messianic ideas about the end of the world pre-dated Christianity. Such ideas were around during terrible times of oppression when the Jews were being persecuted by the Romans.

It's not stereotyping and ignorance either. Christians believe all sinners and non Christians are going to hell. It is integral to the teachings of Christ that that is what will happen. They claim to delight in their Christianity. Therefore, one aspect of what they delight in is that other people will suffer. They love God's plan, and part of God's plan is to condemn people to an eternity of suffering. Unless they don't love God's plan entirely, but then they aren't proper Christians, and are one step closer to realising that it is all a lie.

There is good & bad in everyone of all races, faiths, some are taught to be the way there are when they are born, they have been put ideas into their head thats how religion, history etc was, people of all faiths just should be righteous, do no wrong & live life accordingly, this life is temporary but some are ignorant believing this life is eternal, there has to be a judge to judge us, otherwisw its too easy & unfair if one leads an honest life, works hard, helps others then ends up same as the one who leads an dishonest life, does fraud, crime etc because there is no God? you see it does NOT make sense, there has to be a highpower to judge us, i pray people will be nice to eachother, lead life by being right, honest.

The ones that gleefully imagine other people suffering in an eternal torture chamber just dehumanize all non Christians. When I was a Christian, I was horrified to think of people being burned alive forever. It's one of the first things that made me stop believing. I can't stand the thought of a deity that believes eternal torment is a reasonable punishment for premarital sex or envy.

I think your question actually is why would Christians - and I mean true, born-again, Spirit-filled, and bible-reading Christians - believe some people are destined to go to hell. It's because the Lord Jesus Christ Himself said so : "Unless you are born-again, you will never see the KIngdom of God." And who is born-again? A person who accepts Jesus as the Lord and Savior of his life, and believes that He died for him and the world and that on the third day Her rose again. These are not my statements but the Lord's Himself, as written in the bible. The sad problem is many people - especially the non-Christians and the so-called believers, marginal as they are in their spiritual walk - have not even read the bible but are always ready to accept as truth tirades by others against Christians.

Wow, you are really full of hate, aren't you?
You apparently have not heard of Christians who go to impoverished countries to take food, medicine, books, etc. to the people there. You might not be aware of the hundreds of Christians who went to help in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Perhaps you are unaware that Christians give thousands of dollars every year to help those in other countries, children at St. Jude's who are dying with cancer, etc. Have you ever heard of Make A Wish? People grant wishes to children who are terminally ill.
That doesn't sound to me as if Christians delight in others' suffering.
Jack, I thought about your question, and I see yur point. I
think some Christians are really concerned about other people and think they are helping by "converting" them. However, they go about it the wrong way.
What they are doing is making people hate Christianity.
We are not all like that. Some of us never preach at all or try to convert anyone. I try to let my life be a witness.
If anyone wants to know what I believe, I will tell them.
Otherwise, I stay quiet.
I apologize for misinterpreting you and for flying off the handle.

Well in the bible there is hardly nothing but hatred
in the old testament, like wars and killing for petty things,it seems everything is a sin that you do and the penalty is death. That is probably where the hatred comes from

Not everyone on this forum that says they are Christian - are Christian. No Christian delights in the suffering of another. We teach about hell only to keep non believers from going to hell. Jesus taught about hell and we follow Him. We believe the Word of God, the Holy Bible, is truth. Hell was created for angels and not created for man but if man continually rejects the Word of God who is Christ Jesus and what Jesus did for man then man has no assurance of heaven. Only believing in Christ Jesus assures man of heaven.
Do you not think that it would be easier for me not to say anything? Christians take bitter accusations for teaching the Word of God. We are called sadistic fruitcake Christians. Why do you reject the Salvation of Almighty God? God sets life and death in front of us - choose life.

Sadistic "fruitcake" Christians are no worse than the atheists here trying to spread their anti-religion-religion. Both people are just part of the balance here on YA.
