I have been running vista home preminum for 4+ months now, with no problems, except, I do not have a shortcut on my desktop for IE, I have searched and searched for the shortcut, can anyone enlighten me on this. Is there a place to go to in Vista that has the option for an IE shortcut. Thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

To put and IE icon on your desk top, do the following: Click My Computer>"C">Program Files>Internet Explorer. Scroll down to the file the is named "iexplorer.exe, and right click. slide your curser down to "Send To" and the over and up to "Desktop".

That should do it.

I have a Vista Home Premium PC also, and yes there is no IE shortcut on the desktop. You can get one there by dragging the shortcut on the Start menu to the Desktop.
This won't get rid of The Start menu Shortcut.

1. Right click-new>shourtcut
2. As location:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
3. as name :"Internet Explorer"
And there's one in Display Properties too!

Click on start, on top of the menu you will see Internet explorer, under that E-mail.
How do you get to Internet any way?.
