The three wires from a shower booster pump are brown = live,blue = negative, black = ????

One of those would have to go to an earth ground for safety, but I don't know the color. I should think black would be negative/return and blue (or more commonly green) would be the earth ground. You need to call the manufacturer or the place you got the pump from for more info - guessing could get you killed if you hook it up wrong!

one of these is possibly a switch wire but impossible to tell without checking with a multimeter...please don't guess get an electrician

the black is usally the ground wire, very rare occations is it not
