This is where JWs get it from:
Revelations 7:4-8
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zebulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
This is the verse they miss:
Revelations 7:9
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

They explain this away but the explanation does not hold water when held before light.
They are blinded and mesmerized by dogma.
The JWs say The 144,000 are the only ones that make it in to heaven as teachers of the ones that only make it (resurrected) to paradise on earth.
Now think about it - If these 144,000 are in heaven how do they teach and lead on earth?
The dogma is a mess.
Think about it - Its says the two flocks will become one flock is this two separate flocks?
God Jehovah -DOES NOT SET A LIMIT- from the above answer gets a thumbs up for this accurate line.

There were 12 tribes in Israel and out of those tribes came 12,000. So 12x12,000= 144,000. Those people go to heaven and everyone else either lives forever on Earth or dies at Armageddon.
