Well, yes, you can say that. There are many people that live long lives living near the sea. But it all depends in the enviroment that you are in. If you are living in a city near the sea, you wouldn't get much benefit. But if you live in a village or very small town near the shore, then you are most likely to benefit. The levels of CO2 are less there. But I would say living in the mountians can be much better for you health, becuase of the air quality, and the rough terrian can be better for your physical fitness.

There are so many factors that determine how healthy a person is: diet, exercise, heridity to name just a few. However, if I lived by the sea, I would tend to spend more time outside and the fresh air should be healthier for me.

As to the extent of lung wise, yes they could be healthier. But that isn't the determining factor. Theres so many others, what they eat, how they eat, what they do. Ect. But, if you are healthier person and live by the sea, it would be of great benefit.

I reckon it all depends on how they eat & live.I live not far from the sea yet we are surrounded by chemical companies.
