I am not sure I understand your question? Why would letting him know you "like" him be a problem. If he is your best guy friend you should already like him. It you think it might "ruin your friendship" don't let it stop you, if by "like" you mean in a more romantic way. The answer to that question is to enjoy each other and not try to "own" one another. I have had a relationship that started out as friends, became romantic, then went back to being very good friends. How?? Because we really do like each other and respected each other enough to realize that phase of our relationship was past. We have been good friends for 30 years now. The friendship is the important part. I would suggest you talk to him about it and tell him your fears. Also, realize that very, very few relationships you have as a teenager lasts past high school graduation. Good Luck.
