the first thing you need to determine is why you have the headache. if it is because you have nasal congestion then it is most likely sinus pressure so i would suggest tylenol cold to help with both. if you are having light sensitivity, nausea and severe pain in the eye area then it is likely a migraine so excedrin will help. if you are having a headache with neck pressure then it is a tension headache so just tylenol or motrin will work for the muscles.

Headache is not a disease but a symptom of something that is wrong in your system. So there are too many reasons for a headache. The cause needs to treated not the headache itself.

Therefore, best advise is to know what caused your headache and if possible avoid them otherwise take a medical advise and attention.

Taking ache-pills would in the long run leads to other complications such as nervous disorders, muscular spasms and many more side-effects.

Still you can go for common headache pills once in a while, if it is too much unbearable.

Aspirin or paracetamol (acetaminophen). Or Tiger balm, Zandu balm, Amrutanjan etc., all balms meant for pain relief.
