I`m pretty sure the gasoline motor was built long before the wheel was invented. It just took 100 years before some one found a use for it. Originally the motor ws used to get rid of all the oil in the ground that had yet to be refined. Later they discovered that if you made them bigger and less efficient it would help with the cold winters by getting rid of the icecaps. Hence the invention of the SUV.
