I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!

I can help you, ive gone down from a size 14 to an 8 in just a few months, and im still loosing weight! Okay, so i cut out all junk food, i have no takeaways, pastry, choco, sweets, crisps ect. And i exercise, not too much but a lot, i joined a gym and i go to an atheltics group twice a week. On the other days, i run around the block and take my doggie out for a walk/run. Basically i usually have fruit salad for brekkie, some fruit fro lunch and then a low fat meal at tea time, i usually snack on iced smoothies or rice cakes. I try to stick to 3 meals a day, usually medium sized brkkie, small lunch and medium or large tea. Then i dont eat at all after 7pm, and i tend to do loads of exercise after my tea, becasue thats when i take in many calories.
Hope you find this useful, its quite fun and quick working. And nobody can say you have an eating disorder!

You need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio. Add a spin class or yoga for variation.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck !

We are in the U.S. so we are a bit ignorant as to metric conversion from pounds. I have lost 30 pounds in the last 6 weeks. My wife has lost 25 pounds.
We are using a program called The New Hilton Head Metabolism Diet. It is a book that has all of the menus and parts you need to lose weight in a healthy way.
The book costs $7.00 U.S. THe ISBN is 0-446-60325-2
We get to eat regular food that we make. It tastes good, and it doesn't cost anything extra to do it.
Good luck.

i have tried loads of diets and the best one that REALLY works! is counting calories, i have lost 21lbs in about 2 months, i havnt starved myself but i have stuck to 999 calories a day. basically you count and weigh everything you eat! there are no restrictions , you can eat chocolate if you know how many calories are in it, BUT if you do the calories will probably equate to a meal, so you will find yourself making the right food choices, i generally have weeabix with skimmed milk for breakfast with a banana, sandwich with ham and cucumber for lunch and a yogurt- shape 55cals a pot, and then dinner 2 sausages(i use veggie ones 120cals for 2) corn on the cob - 102 cals with marg - 10gs - 37cals and sometimes broccoli - very low cals!
i always have another yogurt for dinner and a low cal hot choc in evening to stop cravings, i also drink a lot of water with lots of ice, I promise you doing this diet, sticking to 999cals per day you will lose 1lb every 2 days guarenteed!
also if you walk 3000 steps a day thats the recommended amount to keep fit aparently

I lost 40 lbs by changing my lifestyle habits. I didn't follow a "fad" diet. I simply ate proper portions of each food group, watched my calorie intake and exercised 5-6 times a week. I have kept this weight off for over 2 years now without problem.

ok, this is what I did, and have so far lost 20 lbs, and got a flat stomach, and an amazing body
Breakfast- I ALWAYS eat breakfast! Always! Because if you dont, your metabolism isnt started and your lunch sticks to you and so on and so on. But for breakfast I had a bowl of any super healthy cereal, or a serving of quaker oatmeal.
an hour after I eat breakfast I run arounf my block(about 15-20 mins) at first I couldnt run the whole way, so I walked for 5 mins, then started running until I couldnt any more, then walked untill I could catch my breath, then started running again, etc. then when Im done running I do a 5 minute walk for a cool down. then I go back and do 15 minutes of cardio, which includes of 7 minutes of hula hooping, 30 crunches, and other random types of cardio.
lunch(3 1/2 -4 hours aftr I ate breakfast) I eat a pb&j o whole whaet bred with organic pb, with any type of fruit and juice**or a grilled cheese on whole wheat bread with tomatoes in it, any type of fruit, or a small salad, and juice**or 1 medium sized whole wheat pita spread with hummus, and you can add tomatoes, peppers, onions, or cucumbers with any fruit and juice***
about an hour after I eat lunch I go for a 15 minute bike ride
dinner(about 4-5 hours after lunch)- I either eat pasta with a garlic sauce with salad**or any kind of veggie stir fry, with shrimp***any kind of fish with white rice or salad**or lean meat like turkey or chicken, marinated in a light dressing, with a salad or veggies or white rice**
I hope I could help. Make sure to try to get at least 6 cups of water a day, and try to drink at least a cup of green or oolong tea daily. and also make sure you dont eat dinner within 3 hours of bedtime.
***and I only do this during the week, I give myself a break on the weekend, I dont excersize , but I dont eat whatever I want, but I might let myself have dessert :)
**try to get at least 2 servings of veggies and 2 servings of fruit

I've lost lots of weight by watching what I ate and exercising every day. I still do. eat a well balanced diet with proper portions, drink plenty of water, and exercise at least 30 minutes every day.

changing your diet is a much more efficient way to shed weight, but that doesn't mean starve yourself. if you are going to exercise, your body will require more and you may actually gain weight.
