Well you know the Bible talks about christians being disliked by the world. Its all whatever to me. You keep going because Jesus is God and for their information it is historically true that Jesus is real. Anyways just stand strong. God Bless.

Jesus is God.

may the thumbs down begin haha

Hey BE NICE HERE IS THE VERSE THAT DISPROVES WHAT YOU SAID. It is a conversation between Jesus and his disciples.

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ

But since most atheists need secular proof here is what Merriam Dictionary defines Christ as

Main Entry: Christ
Pronunciation: \ˈkrīst\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English Crist, from Old English, from Latin Christus, from Greek Christos, literally, anointed, from chriein
Date: before 12th century
1: messiah
2: jesus
3: an ideal type of humanity
4Christian Science : the ideal truth that comes as a divine manifestation of God to destroy incarnate error
— Christ·like \-ˌlīk\ adjective
— Christ·ly \-lē\ adjective

Oh and just for good measure here is another one

I and my Father are one. John 10: 30

The bible says it many times. Just go to this website.

Because some people believe that Jesus is not God. Of course I believe that Jesus is God. It say it plaining in the bible! God is a spirit you cant see him and Jesus is the human flesh form of him. Why cant God be the spirit of Jesus? It is the same person.

because some people want to worship a man as god, Buddha never claimed to be God but Buddhist worship him as God. Jesus never claimed to be God he said he sits at the right hand of God. he said to know him was to know the father because he never spoke a word of his own he spoke the words that god told him to say, Jesus imitated God as where to imitate Jesus. Jesus said he and god where one meaning like they were on the same team. When Jesus was baptized Gods voice said from the sky "this is my beloved son" Jesus would pray to God. Jesus made it very clear that he was not God.

Well if it isn't Mr "a circle is a sphere". God doesn't exist. Religious folk consistently purport piety and push tiresome notions to imply that atheists live lives bereft of morals and guidance. They often make outrageous claims that murderous leaders such as Stalin and Hitler were atheist when they could not have been because they believed themselves to be omnipotent gods, welcoming the worship and giving or taking of life which went with it.
Atheist lifestyle is resultant from ingenuity, logic and wisdom developed over eons. Atheists neither need nor desire a god’s confirmation and forgiveness, but simply get on with their lives to maintain civil society. Atheists commit acts based on their individual merits instead of bowing to overreaching rationale of doctrinal demands tied to threat of eternal damnation. Capable human beings are ultimately responsible for their own actions.
The concept of puppeteer gods or demons denies that we have only to answer to ourselves, the law and those we care about. Religion is a scapegoat lifestyle. Unfortunately there will always be some who, if not stopped, have the potential to damage society in the name of their god. That is why there are societal laws.

I don't believe Jesus is god but thats you're opinion. How can someone say your opinion is wrong?

2007-07-22 01:49:27 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 5 1

It could be because the Bible does not agree with that idea.
Jesus is a god, not Thee God.
The word 'God' simply means "mighty one" and that qualifies Jesus as being a god, but he is not the God almighty.
